Dido, the UK 's biggest selling female artist has released her first ever DVD
Shot over three nights at Brixton Academy on 17 th , 18 th and 19th August 2004, the DVD documents Dido's incredible ¡§Life for Rent World Tour¡¨. Dido played shows in eighteen countries from May to November of 2004 to hundreds of thousands of fans including a headline performance at the UK 's prestigious V Festival and a plethora of European Amphitheatres following her critically acclaimed North American Tour. The DVD (filmed by the critically acclaimed director, David Barnard) brings the very best of the Dido live experience. The Brixton shows were particularly important to Dido. Brixton Academy was her favourite venue whilst growing up and these shows were seen as a ¡§homecoming¡¨ gig. ¡§From the age of 11 I went to gigs all of the time,¡¨ Dido says, ¡§I was obsessed ¡V it was all I ever did. I went to Brixton Academy with my friends pretty much every weekend for years.¡¨
The DVD showcases a host of stand out songs that have made Dido such a hugely popular artist worldwide. Classic singles such as ¡§White Flag¡¨, ¡§Here With Me¡¨, ¡§Hunter¡¨ and ¡§Thank You¡¨ are mixed with live favourites ¡§See The Sun¡¨, ¡§See You When You're 40¡¨ and ¡§Isobel¡¨.
