Across two albums, Dido has sold in excess of 22 million physical album sales.  Her first offering, No Angel, driven by the massive hit singles Here With Me and Thank You, went on to sell an incredible 13 million units after its release.  No Angel was the biggest selling UK album of 2001 in addition to being the biggest selling female artist of the same year.

Followed in 2003 by the album Life For Rent, driven by the unforgettable and unstoppable hits White Flag and title track Life For Rent, Dido followed this incredible achievement with an album selling 9.5 million units placing her firmly in the environment and music culture of the early 21st Century.  Life For Rent debuted with over 12 #1 chart positions around the world. The UK sold over 400,000 copies in its debut week – breaking a 6-year record held by Oasis - making it the fastest selling album in 7 years at the time. Life For Rent matched the achievements of No Angel by being confirmed as the biggest selling UK album of 2003.

In addition to these tremendous physical sales, since the launch of the digital era, Dido has built up almost 9 million single track digital downloads, including almost 4 Million in Asia.

Dido has an incredible ability to write lyrics that appear personal to her but everyone can relate to. Her music has often been described as a soundtrack to people’s lives and many people, especially females, hold strong memories attached to certain songs.

Recorded, over two years, in Los Angeles and London, Safe Trip Home is co-produced by Dido, Jon Brion (Fiona Apple, Kayne West, Rufus Wainwright) and long-time Dido collaborator, Rollo Armstrong (Faithless). The record also features an appearance on drums by Mick Fleetwood and a song co-written with
Brian Eno.
